Magnetic Particle Testing

Magnetic Testing involves magnetizing a component and then applying ferromagnetic particles. These particles align with surface or near-surface discontinuities, making defects visible. This method is commonly used to inspect welds, castings, and forgings for surface and subsurface defects, but it is limited to ferromagnetic materials only.
